Official Mileage Claim

We have reviewed a couple of other 125 CC bikes earlier in the blog. Except for Honda Ignitor which claimed a mileage of 60 kmpl, others, namely Bajaj Discover 125ST and Honda Stunner CBF both claimed mileages above 65 kmpl. The Yamaha Gladiator is no different. According to company officials, the Gladiator clocks 67 kmpl under standard testing conditions.

Yamaha Gladiator Mileage Reviews

There are a number of Yamaha Gladiator bikes for sale on classifieds sites. These postings give us a good idea of what the  mileage reported by real world users of the Gladiator is. For example, one customer on Quikr reports a mileage of 50 kmpl while another user on Sulekha reports a mileage of 60 kmpl. An advertisement on CarTrade has a user claim a mileage of 45-50 kmpl. Do note that most of these sellers on classifieds sites try to give a very positive spin on their bike review in order to be able to find buyers. So take these mileage reviews with a pinch of salt.

Another user on Yahoo has complained of seeing a pretty low mileage of 43 kmpl. However, according to Vicky.in, the reputable online bike store, the expected mileage from the Yamaha Gladiator is 60 kmpl. Again, this is based on their independent review in standard conditions which means the city mileages may be a little lower.

ZigWheels, the Times group owned motorbike site, have reviewed the Yamaha Gladiator and according to them, the mileage you may expect from the bike is as good as 65 kmpl. I am not sure if this is under city conditions.

There are over 130 reviews of the Gladiator on MouthShut and the users there have given an overall rating of 4/5 for fuel consumption efficiency  of Yamaha Gladiator. That’s a pretty decent score. Looking into the  most recent reviews, customers report a pretty good increase in mileage with increasing usage and servicing. One user reports seeing an initial mileage of 54 kmpl which increased to 56 kmpl and subsequently to 58-60 kmpl after the first and second servicing. There are also others who report a mileage of 60-65 kmpl that dropped to 55-60 after a year and a half.
